My goodness, what a lot has transpired in the past year and a half!!
Rev Helen McLeod, a new Unity minister in 2007, moved to Barrie in December 2008 and assumed pioneering the new group as an Emerging Ministry. Their website is www.unitybarrie.org -- go and check them out! Rev. Pat and KC have been extremely busy turning over the Barrie group to Rev Helen and the wonderful group of people there who are passionately committed to having a thriving Unity ministry in Barrie.
They have also been travelling to Parry Sound on Tuesdays to facilitate a class on the Quest -- and they have been self-facilitating for the months when Rev Pat was away (most of the fall of 2009). They are blessed to have Terry Hare, LUT, overseeing the group, and are ably led by several committed students.
Unity Spiritual Centre of Newmarket was birthed in September 2009 -- meeting on Sundays in Newmarket. Check out their webpage: www.unityspiritualcentre.ca! Bev and Brad Watts and Robin and Diana McComb are the able leaders.
Unity of the Okanagan, Kelowna, BC is forming and having Quest classes at the home of Greg and Gail Ruetz.
During the summer of 2008, Rev Pat and KC travelled to New Brunswick, to enrol Unity Truth Students in Moncton area who have started a small study group, Unity of Southern New Brunswick, meeting every Thursday night in Moncton led by the capable mind and heart of Ivale Baniuk.

This has been a very busy winter for KC and me. We moved in to our new home in Sandycove Acres mid November, amidst renovations and redecorating - new flooring, painting all the walls, new window coverings, new window trims, painting all the kitchen cupboards, all the doors, installing central air conditioning. Of course I had help, but I hadn't done this kind of work for years!

Whew! What a month! It's amazing how much the Universe can accomplish in such a short time!
Unity of Durham has been approved by the Canadian Association as a pioneering ministry led by Rev Dagmar. I attended the inaugural Steering Committee meeting on September 23rd and supported the Committee and Rev. Dagmar in making the transition from their former New Thought church to Unity. Rev. Dagmar and her team have a wonderful location all their own, in a plaza in Ajax. No more church-in-a-box, and they are planning Youth Ed ministry already!

Well, the ministry is off and running! After an amazing Releasing Ceremony Service on July 29th at Unity Church of Mississauga, followed by a yummy pot luck (is there any other kind?) and a good-bye party the same afternoon, Rev Pat and KC were ready to go.

Announcing a new Alternative Ministry in Canada
For some time, I have been feeling the desire of people in Canada to have Unity centres in their home cities and towns where there are none. So after much prayer and meditation, as of July 31, 2007, I am resigning as minister at Unity of Mississauga and stepping out in faith and have formed a new alternative ministry which received Canadian Association Board approval on June 7, 2007.
